Book Review: The Immortals

I have just finished reading the latest book from Alyson Noel’s “The Immortals” entitled Shadowland.

In Shadowland, Ever and Damen cannot touch for a single mix of their DNA which  means death to Damen and a lifetime in the Shadowland, an eternal abyss for lost souls; this was the price Ever paid to save him.

Roman, the antagonist, continues to annoy and taunt Ever. He has the antidote of the antidote that would allow Damen and Ever to be together again, but wants something from Ever in return…. and  is bent on getting revenge.

Desperate to break the curse and save Damen, Ever immerses herself in magick — and gets help from an unexpected source… Jude Knight.

Although she and Jude have only just met, he feels startlingly familiar. Despite her fierce loyalty to Damen, Ever is drawn to Jude, a green-eyed golden boy with magical talents and a mysterious past.

I like the series because it’s easy to read, not boring, very now, for teens and young adults, a page turner, makes you wanting more…  But among the three books I like Evermore, the first one, because it is more exciting and the characters are really mysterious. While the second book is another story that will drive you crazy, making you super annoyed and mad at the new character, Roman. I’m looking forward to the new book “Dark Flame” which will be out on  Summer 2010.
